The controversy arose as Toure's relationship with Guardiola deteriorated during the Ivorian's final season at Manchester City, which saw him make just one Premier League start.
Toure told France Football at the time that Guardiola did "everything to ruin [his] last season" and questioned Guardiola's attitude to recruiting African players.
'I promise I will bring him a cake the day he picks a squad with five Africans in it,' the player stated, an apparent allusion to Toure's 2014 'birthday cake snub,' which saw the City legend's birthday supposedly go unnoticed by his club.
Following the statements, Seluk predicted that a 'African curse' would result from Toure's discontent with his coach, stifling any future hope of European glory.
According to the Mirror, Seluk apologized and stated that he and Toure both wish 'nothing but success for City'.
'I'd like to apologize for this problem,' stated the Ukrainian agent. 'I believe it is past time for this bitterness to go, and I know Yaya feels the same way since he wishes nothing but success for City.
'I can say that the shamans have now broken the enchantment, and that I believe City will win the Champions League under Pep.
'They have a decent chance this year. Whatever happens, they will undoubtedly win it within the next three years.'
City has never won the Champions League, and it's no secret that the trophy is coveted by both Guardiola and his team.
In 2021, the Cityzens advanced to the final but were defeated 1-0 by Thomas Tuchel's Chelsea, with to a strike from Kai Havertz.
The Manchester club will be relieved to learn that the 'curse' has been lifted ahead of the opening leg of the semi-final encounter against Real Madrid, having being eliminated at the same stage by the same opponents last season.
Carlo Ancelotti's side went on to face Liverpool in Paris, where they won the cup 6-5 on aggregate.
Toure's agency had already stoked the flames of the feud by posting a viral cartoon showing a character - assumed to be Toure - dressed as a witch doctor, inserting pins in a voodoo doll, with Guardiola shown feeling pain in the same part of his body in September 2018.
'Do you recall how I once chastised City for not providing Yaya with a birthday cake?' Seluk went on.
'Well, it's my birthday this month, and my gift is that this curse be lifted. In fact, I am hoping that City will win the treble this season.'
Manchester United, City's crosstown rivals, will be hoping that the noisy neighbors aren't the first English team to recreate their perfect 1998/99 season, which saw them make history under Sir Alex Ferguson.
A month after his statements in 2018, Toure admitted that he had made a "mistake," and in 2021 he stated that he had written an apology letter to his former coach, but had not heard back from him.
Seluk went on to assume responsibility for his earlier remarks concerning a potential hex, claiming that as his agent, he felt a responsibility to 'protect him'.
'I believe he was the first great player signed by City after Sheikh Mansour purchased the club. 'However, what I said about Pep being cursed provoked much more ill blood than was required,' Seluk remarked.
'It's gotten to the point where people think I'm football's Nostradamus! I can't foretell the future, but I believe Pep and Manchester City will win the Champions League.
'I'm reaching out ahead of the game versus Real Madrid to assure everyone at the club and their fans that they have my full support.'
After leaving City five years ago, Toure went on to play for Olympiacos and former Chinese Super League club Qingdao Huanghai before retiring.
Toure has been in charge of Tottenham's under-16 team since August 2022.
